The opportunity indicator is a weighted blend of the signals below. It is a directional indicator, not a prediction of revenue or profit.

Data labels
- Verified — the figure is traceable to a cited public source listed on the product page.
- Estimated — derived from public marketplace listings and typical supplier pricing bands. Directional only.
- Needs verification — the signal is weak or conflicting. Treat it as a research lead, not a decision input.
- Insufficient data — we would rather show nothing than invent a number.
Where AI is used
AI writes only interpretive content: plain-language summaries, marketing angles and content angles. It never generates trend scores, prices, margins, return rates or market figures. Every AI-written block is labelled “AI-generated interpretation” on the product page.
Sourcing rules
- Only publicly accessible pages, official APIs and published reports are used.
- No scraping behind logins, paywalls or anything a site's terms prohibit.
- Data is refreshed on a weekly cadence, with each run logged in the admin panel.
- Stale entries are flagged rather than silently kept.
